I'm a very well rounded healthcare professional with 24 years combined exsperience within home health and a hospital environment, providing hands on care for many varied types of disabilities ailments, from adolescents to the elderly population. Ranging from general companionship to medically complex. I take great pride in the care I provide. I have excellent references and letters of recommendation. I'm professionally well established in the general Sacramento and surrounding areas. I'm registered with the State of California Home Care Registry. I have current AHA - BLS/CPR certification. I'm COVID vaccinated and boosted. I'm a very compassionate, attentive, reliable self starter with excellent time management skills. I have been a caregiver since 2009. I have a great passion for taking care of others and have spent most of my working career doing so. I have extensive experience in almost every area providing care for this population. I have worked with a variety of Alzheimer's and dementia clients as well as Parkinson's, MS, Diabetes, severe respiratory issues, Huntington's disease , cancer and those on hospice all which include many different special needs. I have a degree in Psychology from CSUS that I earned in 1983. If there's something new I'm not familiar with, I'm more than willing to learn. I love to cook and most likely can make almost anything up on request. I'm always willing to do house cleaning and laundry. I take pride in my work and always go above and beyond what is expected of me. I enjoy conversing with those I provide care for, they always have such interesting memories and history. My mission is to always treat my clients with the compassion, respect and dignity they deserve. I also work at the San Juan Unified School District with Autistic preschool children which requires much energy, patience and understanding. I am also fully vaccinated.
