I have worked as a caregiver for a private family for the past 2 &1/2 years. Prior to my current caregiving job I was hired by their next door neighbors to provide care to their family member suffering from Alzheimer's. Prior to that , I worked in a privately owned care facility where I provided assistance to elderly seniors who had varying medical conditions. Currently, my client is transitioning to a private memory care facility within the next few weeks. I am looking for a part time caregiving position that is no more than 20 hours per week. I am unable to work early mornings or overnights. I have found that I do best with shifts that are 3-4 hrs. I have excellent references, I am professional, patient, respectful & understand the importance of being timely. My experience includes working with Alzheimer's patients & Sundowner syndrome patients who are bedridden although I would prefer a client not afflicted with Alzheimer's or Dementia at this point in my life. I am able to provide light duty care that includes simple meal preparation,dressing, bathing, pet care to some extent & light grocery shopping within close proximity to the jobsite.I am also fully vaccinated. I believe in providing those in need with healthcare & companionship in a compassionate way that works for both the caregiver & client to achieve wellness for all.
