I became a caregiver because I like to help people with their needs. When people became older someone have to be around. I worked for some agency of care in state of Missouri. Being a caregiver of many years I learn a lot about health, (Balance Care Method), diet, people's needs, patience, peace of mind, music and literature and etc.. My clients describes me as a dependable, caring, hardworking, trustworthy person.

My caregiving experience actually started with my father in 1996. He was ill and finally had open heart surgery. He was also a diabetic. I was in charge of all his meds, blood pressure checks and keeping on top of his diabetes. I took him to all doctors appointments and made his special meals for him. My grandmother was also living at home and was in her early nineties. I had to help with getting her up, dressing her, help with her meds, and getting her meals to her room. If she wanted to walk - then I was there with her, by her side. My brother in 2003 suffered a from a dibilitating illness and I moved to be near him, to avoid having him go into a nursing home. Once again taking charge of his of all meds, doctor appointments, getting him out to walk, cleaning his apartment, doing his shopping and cooking his meals. I am very comfortable coming in and helping someone in their daily life. I will help them get ready for their day, cook meals, do light housekeeping, keep up with medications, check glucose levels and take blood pressure, run errands - which can include doctor visits, shopping or even hair appointments. I will gladly take a walk with them, read the paper or a book for them or just give them a friendly ear and face for the time I am there! Let ME know what you expect from ME!
