Growing up I've always taken care of my family, friends, and animals the way I'd like to be taken care of and I believe that transfers to my job as well as my adult life. My mother cared for my grandma before and during her hospice, so I've seen both sides of caregiving and it's inspired me to lean in to my emotions and putting them towards things that make a positive difference such as caretaking. I enjoy spending quality time with my residents the most out of caregiving, it means a lot to me to be able to strengthen not only their minds but to bring a sense of normalcy to their lives. A personal achievement of mine that I'm proud of is graduating high school early, it reminds me daily to push myself to the finish line no matter how things are in the moment.
