Hi, I'm Lani. I have been passionate about taking care of seniors since I was relatively young. My interest sparked in 2013 when my grandfather was diagnosed with cancer and progressive dementia ,and I was the only one around to care for him. When he passed away (bless his soul), I felt not just an emptiness because he was gone but because I still had a yearning to take care of somebody. I am currently a care manager at a senior home in the memory care area. I care for 9 lovely people with dementia daily. I am fully comfortable and educated on hoyer lifts/transfers, continence , bathing, feeding, clothing, and emotional support /building connections and more. I am searching for an opportunity to provide some rest to someone who is looking for a responsible caregiver for their loved one. And bring comfort to a senior in need of a friend, someone to care for them with ease and happiness while doing so. am confident and secure that I am capable of caring long term for any senior with any situation. I have my first aid certification and multiple letters of recommendation(including one from a nurse whom is one of my resident's sons) as well. I'm available anytime sunday-friday from 6-3.
