As a medical assistant I work besides 6-8 different doctors Rooming patients for the doctor and having everything set up as far as numbing patients for injections checking out the injections and checking in to see if they are authorized to receive injections by the insurance and sanitizing tools that doctors have used. Washing patients eyes out once doctors finished giving them injections/ Treatment and setting up docters B-scans and different laser treatment set ups. As an Ophthalmic technician, I screen patients. The duties for screening are opening and filling in their charts, checking their vision, eye pressure and dilating and depending on the doctor they are seeing we numb their eye for injections.
