I previously cared for my grandmother when she lived with us. I was a child caring for her until I was maybe in high school. She was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease. So being able to care for the elderly with the same disease or similar hits home and really brings warmth to my heart. Knowing I am making their lives easy for them to live day to day, hearing the thank you'd and I appreciate you, humbles me and makes me feel I'm doing a good deed and also being there for them at the last stages of their life. I love my residents like they are my own and take this personally since I know what it is like to have a loved one with such a disease.
