I can identify with people who are elderly. You see, I lost my mother in 2009 from Alzheimer's and dementia at the age of 71 years old. During that time, my sister and I tried to take care of her. After four months, my sister and I just couldn’t take care of her full-time. She needed more care than we could provide, so we had to arrange for nursing home care. I felt so bad for needing to do so, since I preferred to provide for her care myself. I would visit her often, and I noticed CNAs and nurses helping my mother. I respected those who took care of her. I thought this must be a difficult but rewarding job. This gives me a personal perspective. I have compassion for elderly people who reside at skilled nursing facilities. I earnestly desire to be a CNA as you’ll see on my enclosed resume. I’ve completed a CNA course at SacMed Training and my clinical hours were obtained from Emerald Gardens. I have the educational background and want to further my caregiver experience. In addition, I am motivated and enthusiastic, and I have a good sense of humor. I am confident that meeting with you would be a mutually positive experience, and I can make myself available at your convenience.
