My central motivation in life is to meet the needs of others. As a senior care provider certified in Alzheimer's and Dementia Advanced Care, I have 5 years of experience working with clients, in a home environment who have suffered a stroke, been diagnosed with Alzheimer's/Dementia, primary progressive aphasia, end stage kidney disease, COPD, and persons disabled, wheelchair or bed-bound. I have an upbeat and engaging personality, a positive spirit, and project enthusiasm and warmth. I am extremely patient, compassionate and encouraging. Meal planning experience includes vegan, vegetarian, diabetic, low sodium & cholesterol, and general comfort foods. I encourage health and wellness exercises that may include walking, stretching, range of motion, chair yoga, and prescribed physical and occupational therapy. I also encourage social and community engagement. My hobbies and interests include cultural anthropology, classic Hollywood cinema, performing arts, classical, contemporary and Latin Jazz, container gardening, and volunteering. I am available Mon-Thurs. for 24-hour care for hourly or short-term live-in care if you are recuperating from an injury, surgery or illness. Live-in day rate is $175.00 per 24-hour day. Will also consider Fri. - Sun. 24-hour live-in care.
