The traits I have that make me a great caregiver is that I am patient, kind hearted, and reliable. From showing up on time to being there every step of the way for each patient, I take pride in my work. I am very organized and detail oriented when it comes to providing care because each patient requires a different level of support. Being able to form bonds with patients in order to better understand their needs, on a physical and an emotional level, sets me apart from other caregivers. What attracted me to becoming a caregiver is that I've always loved helping people and I understand how difficult it is to not be able to do the things you used to as you age. The thing I enjoy most about being a caregiver is seeing my patients happy and healthy. Being able to help my patients enjoy their life without stress and worry, in turn brings me happiness. A huge achievement that I have is having been in the healthcare industry for over a decade with experience working in skilled nursing facilities, memory care, and independent living. My diverse experience has shaped me into the caregiver that I am today and I am proud of every single day that I get to help someone in need.
