I took 2 and a half years of nursing back in my country - Philippines. A friend of mine from California offered me a job, took the opportunity without 2nd thoughts, and thats how i started. There are a number of reasons why i love being a caregiver. First, helping and caring for the elderly on their time of need at that stage of their lives makes us feel appreciated not only from the patients but from their families as well. Seeing their love ones peace of mind and trust are the best honor for us. Second, the bond you create with the patient, the companionship they want knowing we can provide for them makes it special.
