We always say 'thank you and 'you're welcome', but there's a different feeling you get when there isn't one said verbally. I enjoy taking care of older people, and I've always been able to relate to them and have great conversations. As the years have gone, with my experiences in the military and around others who have illnesses, or even my 10 years at NYU Langone breast imaging center, have made me even more compassionate and empathetic. I love helping others in all facets of my life. It's a great feeling and drive, and it is preparation for taking care of loved ones and a reminder to always take care of yourself.
