What makes me a great caregiver is that I make sure the resident/ patient is satisfied. As in everything they needed to be done that they couldn't do themselves is taken care of. I am gentle and careful when it comes to providing care. I try to engage with those who enjoy talking and those who shy away from having a conversation. As you see on my profile, I went to school for medical assistant. What attracted me to caregiving was being able to help those that need it and build relationships with them so it's more of a better and comfortable visit. I work at night which means most of the people I assist to are asleep. I enjoy asking them how their day was and looking around their rooms at all their pictures they have of their friends and families. A personal achievement that I am proud of is quickly picking up the task of a caregiver due to going to school for medical assistant and learning completely different tasks.
