As a mother of three grown up children I became a caregiver to help assist others with their daily lives because I feel compassion and have a kind, humble and giving nature. I wanted to help make a difference in the lives of others. As a caregiver I am skilled in meal preparation (amazing cook), laundry, transportation, doctor appointments, companionship and can tidy up a home. I understand that without these five key qualities than the abolute standard of care cannot be reached. Because empathy and compassion are the keys to working with people in a home care setting and it is essential that a caregiver feel the desire to want to help. By showing both empathy and compassion caregivers will let the person they are caring for know that they care about the person and want to do what they can to help them. My greatest achivements and joy coming from seeing a smile on my client's face and knowing that I make a difference in the lives of people every day.
