I got into the nursing field to help people. Sometimes people just want to be heard. People especially sick people don't like to be told what to do or what's best for them, they like to be heard first. I've worked with easy patients, and I've worked with difficult patients. The key is patience. If we explain ourselves, and listen to the patients and let them vent, sometimes it goes a long ways. I enjoy the end result. Even when the patients are uncooperative the end result is the patient being clean, fed, and comfortable.
