I am a great caregiver because of the passion i have when I do my care giving job. i love caring for the elderly as if they are my own parents. they remind me so much about my parents whom, I had the privilege of caring for them until they passed on. I am respectiful and professional. I have learned with time that the elderly usually undergo very challenging time at their current situations which has come with age and some illnesses, i have been very understanding with my clients and I usually don't take anything personally even when faced with an unusual behaviors. I love redirecting them during loss of memory. I have in several occasions when I was helping a couple in a home and i was only taking care of the wife, the husband had an attack one night and I had to wake up, call 911 who were directing me what to do before the paramedics arrived. I was able to apply my CPR knowledge to save that live. This time I volunteered to assist both of them, I was overjoyed for having done that. Secondly I am a great Cook, I usually cook for my clients food of their choices and at times they ask me to make a choice of what to cook using available ingredients in their kitchen, this I do with enthusiasm. Having graduated from a culinary school has added a lot value in making good well balanced meals and different types of cooking methods. Most of them enjoy the meals I prepare.
