I started as a nursing assistant, when I was in high school. I have been doing this for 26 years. I have worked as CNA is every environment (hospital, nursing home, rehabilitation, psych unit and private duty. What attracted me to being a caregiver is that I enjoyed the personal aspect. I enjoyed being able to know each of my clients on a personal level as well as their families. A personal achievement that I am proud of is getting myself back together after moving to Texas after hurricane Katrina. I proved to myself that I can make it through anything and despite my own situation I was able to still help others.
