I have 14 years of experience as a caregiver assisting persons in their private homes or in Assisted Living Facility. Most of them deal with health conditions such as dementia, Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, diabetes, heart ailment, stroke, cancer, post-surgery, or under hospice care. My duties include assistance with personal care, incontinence care, transferring, meal preparation, medication reminder, walking, range of motion exercises, safety supervision, companionship, and light housekeeping, among others. I am a college graduate with a background on Sociology and Para-Social Work, finished CNA (Certified Nurse Assistant) Training, a registered Home Care Aide, professional, very patient, compassionate, very attentive to details, dependable, honest and a team player. I always have a very good relationship with clients, their family and friends. You can rely on me especially during tough and difficult days. I took care of an 89-years-old very smart lady for six years. She told everyone, "Olivia is my pal." Her daughter Sue said, " I can't believe my Mom will last this long after her stroke in December 2008, and lost her husband and son in the past three years." Another client, a 103-years-old lady, always said, "Oh, here's my friend." They feel my love and care. And this is a big achievement to me.
