My name is Vanessa I'm 38 years old. I am a single mommy of a beautiful two year old daughter named Faith and couldn't be happier. For five years I was a geriatric suicide crisis warm-line hotline counselor at the Institute on Aging in San Francisco, CA. While there I received trainings there to better serve our elders and those who live with disabilities. I received trainings in Facilitating Self Determination, suicide, Alzheimer's and dementia, Death and dying, holding space for others, grief, active listening and more. I was an advocate for human trafficking survivors and I've volunteered and served in the mental health and helping field for over six years. I graduated in 2012 from City college of San Francisco with a Community Mental Health Worker Certificate.I worked in a Acute psychiatric unit as a rehabilitation assistant and facilitated groups and kept clients safe. I specialize in geriatric caregiving and Hospice care. I love what I do and hope to make a difference in the lives of the people I care for, their families and our community. I want to make a difference through service ( caregiving) . Caregiving is my passion. I currently reside in Suisun City with my beautiful daughter and cater food as a hobby when I'm not providing care. Scratch made authentic cooking from the soul is my passion too.
