I got a start living with my grandmother when she lived alone. I assisted her by doing indoor and outdoor chores, grocery shopping, laundry and most importantly being a companion. I enjoyed doing this work that made it possible for her to stay in her home. After her leaving, I was drawn to seek out work in Homecare agencies or private duty to also assist people in staying in their homes. I am 61 now and still working for 2 Homecare organizations. Looking back, my greatest achievement was finding my wonderful wife and raising a family. This has helped me to be very patient and accepting of people and situations. I am friendly, and enjoy conversation and sharing stories.
