I am passionate about working with older adults and enjoy caregiving as it presents a unique opportunity to form a special relationship with another person while helping them flourish. I have been described as empathetic, dependable, honest, and loyal. I understand the importance of being patient and compassionate while motivating people to engage in activities that are beneficial for their health (ie. walking, bathing, taking medications). I have over a thousand hours of experience caring for patients of all levels of functioning, including memory impairment, diabetes care, stroke care, and post-surgical care. After finishing nursing school, I have moved from New York back to my hometown of Ventura. Due to nursing licensure requirements, I am unable to sit for the RN exam until 2019. In the meantime, I am looking for a long-term position as a caregiver and hope to continue as a caregiver when I am working as a RN in 2019 (RNs have 4 days off every week!).
