About Brenda

Hello my name is Brenda. I am 30 years old, married with children. I have always had a big heart especially for caring for people. I started off by working in a daycare setting for various years in California and in Texas. I became very interested in caring for adults when I began helping my good friend that due to a accident they became fully dependent on someone else. From that moment on I loved being able to help. Whether it be cooking meals, helping with medications, bathing and toiletries. I would help in all aspects. When my first child was born I gained a lot of knowledge in the medical field. I had to since my daughter was special needs and fully depended on me to be her voice and sounding board to advocate as best as I could for her. I became very knowledgeable with many needs and how to operate different machines. From feeding tubes, injections, cpap, bipap, checking O2 stats and knowing when to use oxygen and many various other machines. I love being able to help and expand my knowledge by caring for someone that needs me to make their life a little easier. I am a quick and visual learner and I am always up to learn. I more recently began working for a vocational service, you can say I have a soft spot for helping others, where I work with adults and helping them integrate into their community via work or just being out and out of their home. I can say I fell in love with caregiving even more when life threw me a curveball and being there for someone was my passion.

I began my caregiven duties, with my mother back in 2014, she got sick and I began caregiving for her until she died in 2018, I began caregiving for my grandmother who passed away in 2019 it was a very rough ride for me, I learned a lot especially from my grandmother who was an RN before her passing. I knew then I had a heart for the work and I continue to do caregiving. My specialties are working with the Elders. I do have experience working with the hospice patience.
