Registered Healthcare Aide#7501142192 I currently volunteer at church. I am a foster for the animal shelter. I am CURRENTLY a caregiver for my 93 yr old uncle (past 4 yrs). AND employed by 3 caregiving companies in Temecula. I am trained in the use of a Gait Belt, transfer board, incontinence care etc.. I have extra patience for dementia and Im soft spoken naturally. I find you catch More flies with honey and I'd rather persuade a patient gently than be firm. I have studied all developmental life stages, biology, diseases, and physical and mental disorders in college. I have done specific scientific studies regarding Alzheimer's and relearning in rats, which are genetically similar to us. I am a military spouse and mother of two. I have been a counselor for 7 years for teens in the system at a group home facility, so i know that while Im in a home it's still my job so i treat it like a job. I was a department manager of a day care for 13 years. During both jobs working with children many were Autistic, ADD, ADHD, Colostomy patients, quadriplegic, paraplegic, epileptic, and mental disorders. I have devoted my life to helping others. Because I am currently a caregiver I administer meds, grocery shop, assist with hygiene/personal care, make meals, light housekeeping, transport and audio record Dr appts for family, set up medical equipment delivery, call insurance company. I leave detailed behavior log notes for doctors to review and for family to see how their lives ones day was, i also log the daily duties I perform for families to review. I am mostly interested in working overnights, but am available during the week (except tues&thurs 10a-2p). I have CPR FIRST AID, AED unit certified. PART training, water certified. Clean DMV.
