About Daneta

When I was a teenager, my grandmother needed extra care and my mother didn't always have time to do everything necessary, so I stepped in and shared in the care of my grandmother. She always told me that I would make a great care giver and that I could bring joy to alot of people due to my compassionate personality. Also, when my late husband had Leukemia, I cared for him in all facets of the care, including bathing, feeding, helping in the bathroom, etc., until he died 2 years ago. I also cared for my best friend, til she died from heart failure a few years ago. I believe that these experiences have solidified my ability and desire to help others, even if it is simply in the capacity of companion. **About my fee; my fee ranges any where between 13.00 per hour to 15.00 per hour depending on the case, the work involved and the time of day. For over nites and live-ins, I am willing to quote a flat fee to save you money.

My job requires that I keep an eye on patient at all times, and she must use her walker when moving about. I cook, do light cleaning, drive her to stores, Dr's appts, shopping, fun excursions, etc. I advise her as to when she needs to take medications, administer her nebulizer, take daily blood pressure, Also, I assist her in bathing and getting in and out of shower, apply ointment to dry areas of her body, and assist her in dressing. When the day is over, I chart all activity and all details in her individual patient book

I lived on the Walthan estate in Montecito, CA for several years and was the companion for Sally. She suffered from Altzeimers Disease and instability in her walking and required for me to prepare food, set out meds, help her in her bathroom hiegiene, take her for daily walks, assist her with her stretching exercises, drive her to appointments, etc., and keep her company. I also cared for her dog.
