I became a caregivers 20 years ago, when I was asked to help out with an elderly couple. I found it was my calling, ( I would like to run a small 4 to 6 bed facility of my own .) to be my best, I attended courses provided by Santa Barbara & San Diego city colleges , informative Q & A conferences with doctors, nurses, specialist speakers, usually held at the Masonic Lodge in San Diego, I've payed to go to several of these. I'm a good cook, I like to cook , and have been known to do small dinner parties at clients home , just to gather the family around, it always turns out to be a recurring event. Which makes those I care for extremely happy. I'm good at what I do, because I'm happy doing it. I can learn to do almost anything, I do insulin shots , aware of special diets, puree , feeding tubes. I curl, cut hair file, paint nails, no toe nails but I will drive a client to the podiatrist or beauty parlor, I'll drive to doctors or take them to friend , family's home . All pets seem to love me, I love all animals, pets, be it fish birds, turtles, lizards, cats or dogs. I'm great at healing wounds, prevention.
