I've always enjoyed helping the elderly since I was very young. I guess that happens when your grandparents take care of you while mom is out trying to make money so we can survive. I've been fortunate enough to have lived and cared for 3 different grandparents during their final years. Although end of life is a challenge I can't tell you how many times we were laughing and just enjoying a simple day. Being with them, while all situations are different, Was a blessing. Of course their can be many challenges but I wouldn't change any of the moments. These situations have shaped and help me become a better caregiver and person. Honesty, patience and respect are some of the requirements that are so important
