I found my calling after years of taking care of my elderly parents and also my own family. I took a job near my home assisting a RN and an LVN to care for 6 mentally and physically challenged adults in a group home. I fell in love with the job and was heart sick, when a year later, the group home closed, due to lack of funding from the state. I decided to go back to school and earn my CNA certification. I served an internship at three different assisted living facilities during my training and was convinced that this was the field I was happiest in. I got a job I love and have been kept busy but would like some extra work in addition to my regular job. I have good references from people who know my good work history.
