Willing to Set Boundaries. Cooperative. What attracted me to being a caregiver? I enjoyed working with people and most enjoy jobs where you have one-on-one interaction. I enjoyed taking care of elder family members and would like to help others in this way. And feel I can get along well with a variety of elders I love making a difference in other people's lives. I know what I do helps them to stay living independently in their own homes and my clients love to see me walking in the door. Caring for other people makes me feel valued. I have wonderful relationships with my clients. My Personal Achievements I learn everything I can, get creative when I have to and do my best. Caregiving is a huge personal accomplishment, and I'm proud of my resourcefulness, flexibility and determination. Even with a difficult parent, caregiving can be one of the most rewarding experiences of your life. One of the most rewarding things about being a caregiver is the fact that I'm able to help others on a daily basis. Through the services and support I'm providing, I'm having a direct impact on the quality of life for the clients. This alone can make the hard work and dedication well worth it!

As so my mom took over and I went to Cali to take on my dream full time .. I have worked with asl patients , Quadriplegic , dementia, Alzheimer's, mental health as well as kids . I started off with independent care and later moving on to facilities as well as obtaining my med tech . Later on had to go back to take care of my grandfather and mom who recently passed away now I take care of my mom and moved her out to live with me in Escondido . When I was applying for different kind of jobs (manufacturing, warehouse) where I had more than 15 years experience, I was offer a position as caregiver of a lovely 90 years old lady, we got along since the first moment and became her part time cg. I found out that I have that special touch so much needed when working with elderly. I treat them with respect. I know it must not be easy losing your independence and if at home, seeing "strangers" coming into your house and practically take control over your stuf. That's why I like asking them (when posible) how they like things being done in their house.
