I have had personal experience growing up with people with disabilities (Down Syndrome, Autism, and Schizophrenia) and have come to recognize the beauty and dignity of people who live with such difficulties. I believe strongly that all people deserve the best possible care, not just for their physical needs, but for their entire person. These beliefs, combined with an excellent work-ethic and a compassionate and patient personality have led me to look for a career in caregiving through which I hope to help improve the lives of others by providing the best care possible.

Some of the tasks I perform in my daily duties include: - Changing - Bathing - Toileting - Preparing Food - Feeding - Administering Medicine - Light Housework - Pressure Sore Prevention - Provide Companionship and Emtional Support - Daily Record-Keeping - Continuous Evaluation of Changing Needs Most importantly, I do not treat this woman as though she were just a job to be accomplished, but strive always to treat her as a person so as to help make her life as comfortable and happy as possible.

My most recent job was caring for a 98 yr old woman by myself. I was with her M-F & some saturdays from 10:00am-5:30pm, as in my resume I did everything for her. I did PLENTY of transferring her from the bed to wheelchair & from the chair to the bed & sometimes from the bed to the toilet ETC, bathing, feeding, changing, grooming, meds management ETC, I dressed & undressed her, I cooked her lunch and dinner & did MAJOR MAJOR housekeeping for her!! So PLEASE give me a chance to show you that I am a hard worker & that Im VERY VERY good at caring for the elder & that its more like an honor to care for my elders than it is a job!!
