Hi! My name is Angeleck Richardson. I'm known to be kind, patient, and talkative. I became interested in being a caregiver after working a few retail jobs and realizing that I felt very unfilled in a line of work that didn't provide me with the opportunity to connect with others. While working those jobs, my sister who is disabled often called me on my lunch break and chatted with me, telling me all about her day and what happened with her and her friends. I've grown up taking care of my sister, driving her to her activities, going to the park together, watching old school 90's RnB videos (her favorite, she knows every word), and just being her friend. After my dad, I was her secondary caregiver and everything I did with her I enjoyed. Of course there were very difficult days, but it was patience, understanding and space for both of us to be comfortable that allowed situations to work out. That is something I'm proud of.
