Hi there! For starters, I love to make real connections with people. I've always had a deep rooted passion for helping others and getting to know them. I believe some quality's I share in being a great caregiver is my patience and level of understanding. I enjoy being able to create a true bond and friendship with those that I work with because to me it's more than just a job. It's a chance for me to learn someone else's story and to be humbled by their wisdom. Some of my favorite pass times was volunteering at my local nursing home and just talking with the residents. Another passion of mine is Humanitarian work, a few places I've been fortunate enough to visit and work are Kenya, South Africa, and Mexico. A personal achievement I'm proud of was being able to connect my local church into finding a well in a remote village in Kenya, it currently provides clean water to over 1,000 residents! While traveling I worked with kids, and adults either on the spectrum or with a severe disability. To say I miss that work is an understatement, I refuse to work retail again because I know there's so much more I can do!

My standards are no cell phones while at work, no clock watching, and I always address people with respect by using MR.or Mrs. (last name) until I am encouraged otherwise. Using Mama or Papa and other terms of endearment are not appropriate for me personally in professional healthcare.
