I am in my late fifties and am an Army Veteran . It makes me reliable. I enjoy the the flexibility in scheduling as a Professional Caregiver. I am also the Dad of a teenage daughter, I am quite proud of that. I have experience caring for a close family member with Alzheimer's and Dementia. My skills set include changing incontinence undergarments, assisting the Care Recipient with getting dressed, grooming and body cleaning. Lifting the Care Recipient out of bed without a Hoyer Lift and placing into a wheelchair. Feeding the Care Recipient, assisting the Care Recipient with walking with the aid of a walker and safety belt. Playing assorted games with Care Recipient to keep them engaged. I am also an experienced Cook and Housekeeper. At this time I am only taking on new Care Recipients from the East Bay.

About me, I always wanted to be a registered nurse since I was a little girl. I didn't get that far the goal was to take care of people. I love what I do. It's not about the money it's about caring and taking care of people and giving them the attention and love they need. Integrity, hard-working, on time, pay attention to all details, and give my clients the compassion and love they deserve! That's me!

As a caregiver, provider , and advocate of the disable community for the last 12 years my role is very fulfilling , I'm a very outgoing ,passionate , reliable worker who keeps a positive motivating attitude . I've been a caregiver all my life. I grew up with my grandmother since I was a little girl. I have learned to be patient and understanding when caring for my clients. I've spent the last 15 + years caring for my teenagers, their friends and their schools. if there was a place to help out I was usually there, and often stayed for years. my work experience is mostly in office administration, but this is not what I want to return to. I studied to be a drug and alcohol counselor, but would like to be able to help others as well, so I am looking into caregiver work. I would like to do something meaningful, and that I enjoy. I am a quick learner, and always up for a challenge. I have a ton of patience that I have developed over the years. I love learning new things, and I love helping people.
