My primary concern as a caregiver is to make sure that my client is able to function at the best of their ability and to make sure that they are having the highest quality of life that they are able to have. I am not only there for my client but I am also there for the family (such as: to let them go grocery shopping, are just to be another set of ears at doctor appointments or for the family. After a few days with the client and the family I begin to consider them family. I have a great amount of nurturing and empathy, some say I care to much but I give 150% to my clients and families. I enjoy order and dispensing medication, relating to my clients, enjoy the pass and working on family history. I have no parents or grandparents so my clients kind of fill these roles. I have been a first responder, EMT, CPR Instructor, nurse's aide, and medication aide. My personal achievement that I am most proud of is having a D.N.S. that I work with for a long time trust me to teach new nurse's the medication routine and to be a charge nurse. As a personal care giver the highest praise I can be given is for my client to tell me I must be an angel and that they love me.

I'm Mexican, I come from a large family of 6 and I'm the second youngest of my brothers and sisters. I was brought to this country when I was 16 years old. I like cats and small dogs and large ones if they are friendly. I'm compassionate, caring, respectful, responsible, reliable and professional. I'm 40 years old. I'm married to a wonderful husband for 3 years. I started working with the elderly when I was 22 years old. I started as a Caregiver. I've done in home care for 7 years, I've work with Alzheimer's residents for 4 years, 2 years Assisted Living caregiving and 10 years of medication administration. Just over a year in Staffing and just over a Month Health and Wellness Coordinator. I love working with elderly because they have thought me so much and made a better person.
