I became a care giver because I have a heart of compassion for others. I cared for my own mother (helped bath, meds, doctor appts.) until her time on earth was over. It is important to allow individual to have a sense of independence while you are helping them. Currently, I am taking care of a women that is recovering from her 5th knee surgery. She is diabetic, I check her blood sugar and administer insulin (shot) as needed. I also help her bath, dress and prepare her lunch each day. It is my responsibility to take her to all appointments and due exercises with her.
