About Mele

Hi I started as a caregiver taking care of my father whose health had declined from years of having diabetes & kidney failure. Over the years he developed dementia. It was hard for me to see my dad like this but I helped him along with my mother & siblings to care for my dad. After he passed away I decided to look for caregiver jobs because I had experience of caring for my father. Since then I have worked for 2 amazing clients! One client Mrs. Donna was a lady in upland who became one of my dearest friend who was blind and my job was to feed her during the week and do grocery shopping for her and whatever she requested I did those things for her as needed. The other client was Mrs. Lily who had dementia and my duties were to help her with her meal & get her ready for bed. Depending on the shifts I was assigned & time I would watch TV or go outside with Mrs. Lily to enjoy some fresh air or just enjoy being outdoors. These were great woman and sometimes I think I needed them more than they needed me because I learned a lot from them. Hi I was hired my Mrs. Donnas family to feed her during the week & weekends. She was blind and bedridden. She was in private care in a facility in upland. I would go in and feed her and later did shopping for her from the markets or Costco. She was blind but she knew everything and she was a very smart lady who taught me a lot about life! I enjoyed working with Mrs. Donna! Her family and I keep contact through texting. I was blessed to have known Mrs. Donna she wasn't just a client but she became one of my great friends! I also helped her to go to the bathroom, brush her teeth & get her ready for bed. Some days I would just stay in the room with Mrs. Lily & watch TV or go outside to enjoy some fresh air.
