I enjoy working with the elderly and making elderly and making them feel comfortable in their own skin. To feel powerless when you get old is one of the worst things a individual can experience. I have so so much experience with elderly people and those that are dependent on a wheelchair. I can honestly say I enjoy the company of those who can no longer care for themselves. My goal as a caregiver is to be able to give back power to those who feel hopeless and bring happiness to the life they have left. I currently am working with a quadriplegic elder lady that I love to death but she plans to move to Washington this November. I know I have made a difference in her life and also a friendship that will last forever. Something that attracted me to becoming a caregiver is my passion to help others. I don't see caregiving as a job but more like an opportunity to help someone who just needs a little boost to get through the day. I enjoy seeing my patients laugh & feel comfortable through the day. I do my best to make sure they have what they need while I'm working and while im gone. The elderly are no different from us younger folks, Like I said before they just need a little boost of energy and happiness to get through the day.
