I love caregIving because growing up with my elderly grandparents really help me to develop patience and sympathy and to overlook many of the challenges that comes with being elderly.I took care of my Grammy until her death at 104 yrs.old. I recently took care of my mother who had dementia for many years and just passed away. I also loss a wonderful client who had dementia as well What attracts me to caregiving is the many wonderful things you can learn from your client, and always remembering that these people no doubt had a wonderful life and now need someone to care for them the way they took care of themselves when they were young and independent. So my joy of caregiving is just doing little things to ake the laugh and trying to please them in every way. I am very proud of the fact that you can call pass clients and they will state the good job I did in taking care of their love ones
