Hello there, my name is Desaree or Desi. Let me tell you a little about myself as a caregiver. I have been caregiving pretty much my whole life. I started helping out my mother take care of my aunt who was sick at the time. She had very bad Diabetes and was on a picc line, my mother had to wrap her foot and clean it every single day so it would not turn into gangrene and that's when I learned to wrap wounds I was about 16 and still in high school. When my other aunt needed help from my mother I joined along in helping her before she passed away and same as with my grandmother. I was raised by my mother and grandmother to always respect my elders and to always love and take care of family. I went to college for Medical Assistant in order to become an RN one day. I love every min of studying and learning how to help others. I have always had a passion in becoming somebody big in care taking one day, whether it be being a head Nurse or Police Officer. I love to be able to help others and let them know that even if family won't be there or just simply can't because of everyday life that somebody like me along with many others want to remind them that their lives matter to us in this world and that their lives are still important. Elderly have given so much of their lives to the community with being wise and being able to spread knowledge to someone like me with the era they grew up. I feel they deserve respect and kindness and patience because this generation today has lost respect for them along with themselves. I want to remind people that caretakers are full of love and patience. I have a passion for caring for others and I was born with the love in me to spread in the world. My motto in life is to forgive others as God would you. And be kind to others as you would want them to be kind to you. Without happiness in our elders before they go is unfair. I love what I do because being with any elder is like spending time with my grandmother.
