I'm a great Caregiver because I truly care for people and show,compassion...especially with the elderly'.. I've worked 5 years for one company even though I've moved a couple of times. Since we've moved to Crestline, Ca., I would like to find a job in Crestline, Ca. Lake Arrowhead, or Twin Peaks, Ca. I feel I'm using my talent in a positive way and making a difference in lives. My achievement is seeing the difference in how far a little help and companionship goes. Improving people's lives if very important to me. I have taught for 30 years and enjoyed working with students. Then, I started to Caregive and enjoyed it too. So, I started by taking care of my parents. It was hard but I realized that caregiving was fulfilling. I called Right @ Home in Laguna Niguel, Ca., seeking a caregiving job and was hired. I've been with this company, in different cities, for about five years and have thoroughly enjoyed it. I'm looking for a companionship position with minor health problems but needs house and meal help. I'm also looking for 8 - 12 hr. days.

I took care of a patient, Jeri, that lived with her daughter. I would bath Jeri,and help her by making her bed. I also helped her get dressed, vacuuming and making light- meals.She had some aches and pains but was 91 year of age.

I had a major Alzheimer patient. That took a lot of patience. She would tell the same story over and over. Also, she would get so angry that you needed to calm her down . The middle of the night she'd ask me who are you? In her earlier years, she worked as a micro-biologist and occasionally you didn't seethe Alzheimer as much. But very occasionally. Last time I checked on her, she was still going strong at 93

Caregiving primarily for a minor Alzheimer patient. I stayed with her through the day and some nights. I had helped her organize papers, etc. She ended up calling one of her bedrooms Ann's Room. She was such a sweet lady. Just a note, I prefer to take care of women only.
