I like the idea of being able to help someone so they're able to stay in their own home. I have a great time with my clients, and I make sure they are comfortable, and in a happy mood and all their needs are addressed. It gives me satisfaction knowing at the end of my day I have helped a fellow human being to make their days better, and that's a great feeling.

I am an RN of 35 plus years, I also work on staff as a Massage Therapist for a local fitness/ rehabilitation facility- I have a long background in hospital based Acute Care. In recent years my focus has been on eldercare, Hospice, home-care. I consider myself to be a calm, easy, cheerful- hands on care provider. I enjoy using my skills, training- I am able to provide simple or more involved care in the home- simple monitoring to assistance with daily life/ personal care. I like to provide individual care to both my client and their surrounding environment- keeping both clean, organized and comfortable. My assessment skills, training and experience assist me to determine, with the input of the client and family -what the current needs are, and then provide effective solutions and specific care that fits the client and their situation. I also believe in clear communication, so that all are working together towards whatever goal is desired-and whether that is increased independence, rehabilitation, post op recovery, or simply easing distress and assisting w basic activities of daily living, comfort care. In this current climate- I have a strong background in infection control- personally I have been maintaining self isolation as is possible- limiting my interactions/ contact with others to only what is necessary- I use a secure mask to interact- and standard cleaning/ hand washing protocols when interacting - References upon request .
