I became a caregiver when I noticed one of my own family members starting to slowly forget things, they would wander, and needed a little extra help to do daily living activities. I gained the knowledge to look for signs of confusion and had my family member checked out, and my fear was unraveling before me. Dementia. No family should have to worry about leaving their elderly family members alone and wonder if they are well. I enjoy making my patients smile each day. I work in a rehabilitations facility at the moment and have trained in a sub acute and post acute facility. I'm a hard worker, eager to engage, have great patience, and enjoy being able to assist any patient or family member in need. I am a licensed CNA/HHA. First aid/CPR and BLS provider.
