I have been a certified nursing assistant since 1993. I have worked in nursing homes, home health and hospice. I currently work as a caretaker for a couple in Sylacauga. I feel that I am very compassionate about my work. I love my patients and families. I do tend to get attached some because I genuinely care about my patients and their well being. I love being able to help people. I honestly didn't know what I was getting into when I was 20 years old but after over 20 years I wouldn't trade it for anything. I have always been told that I was in the right field of work. I have always had great reviews and compliments from my patients and their families.

I became a Caregiver due what my grandparents went through and I will love helping someone else that is need. What I like about being a Caregiver is that your in the nursing field, and helping those that are in need. Plus they feel special and a little emotional due to they have someone than family helping them. Some patients don't have no one to help them through their ruff times of need, and that's my personal achievement that I am proud of. I love my personality because people notice the care that's on the inside and out. I'm willing to help and give to people that needs me sometimes even if they don't need me im always there. And I know how it feels to be in need when you really cant do nothing for yourself, because I couldn't walk for 2 months due to I fractured my pelvic bone. I was very emotional so to know there is someone out there that ill care for you makes you happy.

I have been working with the elderly (at the hospital and homecare -caregiver) since 2004. I received my CNA/CPR licenses in the year of 2006 I worked in the hospital and with hospice and moved onto fulltime elderly caregiver. I love working with the elderly providing loving care each day. I can provide references upon contact with present and past families. I assist clients that are still able to get around to church activities, hair appointments, doctor appointments , take them to pay bills and shopping. I assist with cooking meals in there home or getting take out food upon family request. I have bingo games for in home activities, and study the bible with the clients. I try to provide them with day to day normal activities as much as they can do and provide end of time comfort care as the time comes. I look forward to hearing from you and God Bless. My first caregiving job was with my two kids and my husband. I always made sure that they were taken care of. I also helped take care of both of my grandparents that raised me. I started working in the medical field when my kids started school. I worked as a phelobotomist for 12 yrs, lab asstant and a small doctors office as a nurse, and ran the lab. My husband had major back surgery in 2007 and I had to quit work and take care of him. When he got better I stayed with stage 4 bone cancer lady, bed rest until she passed. I have stayed with 5 others plus my mom that lived with us. I love being able to help people that need help. I have always done more that I was asked, that is just me. When I see something that needs to be done I will ask first and then do. All the people I have taken care of through the years have passed away. I have tried a few others jobs but this is what I want to go back to. Helping people is what I am good at.
