I have always loved taking care of the elderly. You have to have the heart. I started out by being there for my mom until she left me. Then when I lossed her I said why not take care of others. I hope I be able to have the same done for myself if I be around that long. Honest, Dependable, Trustworthy.. I like to have fun get to know my client. Become friends and have a relationship. That is what makes me a good caregiver. Have excellent references.

I use to be a CNA. I love working with and being around the elderly. Some of us from our church goes to the Nursing Home once a month and have service and fellowship with the residents. I am over the Nursing Home Ministry and I enjoy it. I have a passion for helping others.

I have always loved to care for others . My first caregiver experience was caring for my family members. Overtime I started caring for others outside of my family. I enjoy helping others and bringing joy to others. What I enjoy most is the smile of clients face when I am with them preparing their meal, taking them shopping, watching movies, or just sitting back listening to them tell stories about their experiences. I am a 29-year-old, compassionate, caregiver with over 10 years of experience. My experience started when I was 16 working as a dietary aide in a nursing home. After a year, I went through training and was certified as a CNA. I continued to work in the nursing home as a CNA for an additional three years. During this period, I grew very attached to so many great individuals who wanted to see nothing else than a pretty smile. After four years in the nursing field, I was given the opportunity to take care of an elderly woman who had became wheelchair bound. She and her husband lived by themselves on a farm in Bremen and needed someone to cook, clean, bathe them, run errands, etc. After 9 months, she passed away due to illness, but I continued to care for her husband for the next 7 years, in which time, he too passed away at 93. During these 8 years, the position grew into 24/7 care. I was entrusted to manage the whole operation and, in the end, had 5 ladies who I supervised and scheduled. My duties as the supervisor included paying bills, paying the caregivers, hiring (as the operation grew), firing, taking him to doctor's visits, suggesting medical attention, tracking medical history, and keeping a close relationship with the doctors and family. Among these duties, I also cooked, cleaned, bathed him, dressed him, mowed his lawn, cut his hair, gave him routine medicines, and various other duties.

I have just recently quit my job to help care for my dad after open heart surgery in March. But he has recovered and I'm looking to help others. I took care of my grandmother at home in 2014 until she passed and that's where my heart is. Very reliable and flexible. Love to sing, do crafts, read, be outside.

In 2009 my mother became sick it took us 3 years to finally get a diagnosis. In that time I took care of her 3 years later we found out she had Parkinson's disease and multiple sclerosis. I moved her in with me and took care of her 24 hours a day she past away 4 months later and I have felt that being able to help someone is my calling. It warms my heart to make someone's day. Thru the journey with my mom I learned a lot from hospice.

I am a great caregiver because I am a very loving and kind person. I do the work from my heart. I am a very hard and dependable worker.I enjoy being able to help others. I am proud of being there to help I really enjoy my line of work.

I recently took care of my grandfather that had lots of surgery's and had other problems as well he passed away May 5th of 2019 he had cancer and was on his last chemo therapy and his cancer was going away and getting better he then caught a bad infection that he could not fight off and during his cancer was very weak by time the doctors caught the infection it was too late and he wasn't going to make it he will be very happy up in heaven where he can now see my beautiful grandmother that he has waited over 5 years to see and he is my reason for why I love the elderly and love to take of them , I'm very outgoing , bubbly and friendly and I love meeting new people I love helping others and I am a very patient person I do not get frustrated or angry easy I have a very high tolerance for a lot of things my grandparents have always made me want to be a care giver we've always been very close , I've always enjoys taking care of people and being there for people which is why I think this will be a great job for me and my best achievement was making sure my grandparents lives a full and happy life .
