When I was 16 my grandfather was diagnosed with Stage 4 Colon Cancer. I took care of his needs each day until his final day. I graduated a year early from high school to become my great grandmother's caregiver at 17. I was with her for a year before she relocated to live with her two nephews. For my two grandparents, I traveled from my home in Searcy to Portland to stay for approximately 4 months during my grandfather's cancer treatment recovery.
