I learned to be a great caregiver because my mom taught me what it takes during the last years of her life. I have taken so many of her tips and turned them into efficient, gentle, and proficient care for others in need of a friendly smile and a great work ethic.

I have been a CNA for 22 years and I am currently a Senior at Colorado Christian University going for my BSN. I have been caring for people almost my whole life and I absolutely love it.

I'm a dedicated, loyal, dependable mature adult and I love working with older adults and interacting with older adults. I have worked with older adults in three different veteran's clinics, including one now, and also in several assisted living and nursing homes. I have worked, volunteered, and practiced as a personal care provider, activities assistant, and patient services assistant. What has really made me proud in the past, is when a resident asks for me by name to be their sole caregiver because he/she was really pleased with the consistently outstanding service I delivered. I work full-time Monday through Friday, but I'm available on Saturday and Sunday mornings and afternoons.

I am a great caregiver because I love what I do, helping people. I am very patient, as I have 5 kids and it comes easy to me. I take direction well and remember routine. I was attracted to being a caregiver because I have had a few family experiences with close members where I have stepped up and help with end of life care or cancer care. I have 2 years experience or more in caregiving, whether it be pericare, toileting, transfrering or even just house keeping. I enjoy most the relationship with my clients and helping them to do everyday things that might not be so easy for them, and improving my clients quality of life, that is my favorite part. Iam very proud of the work I do, and the appreciation people show is truly rewarding. I am most proud of the person I have become I have come a long way and live to pay it forward. I have been doing I home caregiving for 15 years and I still love my job. I am happy go lucky and get along with everyone "even the grumpy" :). I put pride in everything I do. I treat the elderly with love and compassion. (Is there any other way:) i enjoy providing comfort to thoes who need it the most from somthing as simple as a run to the store to a tuck in . I have been a home care-giver for the past 9 years. I have been in health care all my professional life as a dental assistant, X-ray tech and in-home care-giver. I chose to do home-care primarily to help the elderly continue to live in their homes and assist them in any way that I can. I also love to hear stories about people's lives, their professions, travels, history and their interests. I have learned so much about life from them and have come to love all of the people I have cared for and their families.... it is an honor to work in this field of work. I can help your loved ones with personnel hygiene, med reminders, light housekeeping, transportation to appointments & outings , meal prep, grocery shopping, companionship and whatever else may be needed. I have worked for companies as well as done it on my own. I am a natural born caregiver, i have always enjoyed taking care of other people. I have worked with all ages and all types. I have experience in developmental disabilities, physical disabilities, health issues, dietary issues, stroke recovery, post surgical and elderly care to list a few. I have been a caregiver since I was 14 years old, Im a kind hearted person who loves people and loves being able to help someone in need. If i can just make one person smile thats worth it for me,what attracteded me to caregiving was taking care of my grandma when she was struggling with ovarian cancer she had always been not only my grandmother but she was my best friend my rock my go to person so in her time in need i made sure i stood up to the job ahead of me i had faced knowing i was losing her killied me but keeping her happy and healthy for what time she had left was my only goal dr gave her only 6 mouths to live i kept her alive 2 years before her battle with cancer ended. I also have five kids who are my life my oldes being 21 to my youngest being 5 years old 3 girls 2 boys they are the light of my life raising my 20 year old son to graduate high school and has a good job his owe place and is a all around good boy who i had when i was 14 years old he never stoped my life and made my life better i was young but we grow up together and he tough me how to be careing and loving and i learned more from him then he will ever know. i love taking care of people who need a little extra help i love knowing im keeping them out of the hosiptel and keeping there mind strong and keeping them happy knowing they have a trusting friend they could count on when ever they need helps them know that they are not alone and i love knowing i am that caregiver/ friend
