My name is Melanie, and I am, above all, a wife, mom, daughter to my 91-year-old Momma who lives with us, Gramma, sister, Aunt, etc. Family is important to me; a healthy and happy family. I have always been the nurturer or caregiver in the family, among my peers, in my jobs, with my co-workers and even with strangers that need assistance. My grandparents lived with us when I was little and I started babysitting at 10. Throughout my life I have worked with severely disabled children and adults, developing children's imagination and educating them, created programs for all ages, assisted seniors who needed care in the home and personally lost loved ones to Cancer. I am also familiar with the end of life and/or hospice process. I feel contentment in knowing assistance, time, care and respect I can give to another human makes a positive impact in their life and can give family members a bit of peace knowing their loved one is safe. I try my best to not be a proud person, but I must say one of the best achievements in my life is raising three children to be productive, responsible, respectful and loving adults. My husband, myself and Momma just moved to the Panhandle and I am looking forward to experiencing all the things this area has to offer.

I grew up knowing that I wanted to be like my idol, my grandmother, who was a RN. I knew when I was a candy striper in my teens that iI wanted to continue to take care of those who couldn't because of the feeling of helping a patient get better or die with dignity and not alone filled my soul with gratitude that I was given the opportunity to make a difference in their live by God. When i was 20 I was married and my husband did not want me to do that kind of,work so I was in Retail Management for over 25 years. When I was no longer married I went to school and received my CNA License and I was able to fill my heart and soul again with that peace that I receive from helping others and when they sincerely thank me I am still overwhelmed with happiness. Dignity is a huge part of a person's happiness and to help with that juat completes me. I do hope to go further with my education in the medical field and become a RN. I have an Associate's Degree in Business Management. Other than that I love animals, the ocean/beach, riding horses and a good book. I am a,Christian, however when working with a patient I respect their believes.

My name is Amanda Griffith and I'm a single mother that has fallen in love with the healthcare industry. I started out assisting resident at a facility for mental and physical disabilities and knew from there this is where I was meant to be. I took care of my grandfather, while he was on hospice, overnight and worked during the day. I love the interaction I get and love seeing my residents faces light up when i walk in. I come from a family of deaf so I am also fluent in ASL and love to sign. I want to eventually further my career with more schooling and hope to leave a little piece of me with all of the men and women I work with!

We have a mini farm we are slowly getting more serious about becoming growing more of our own food. We are trying to plant more fruit trees and get our bee's figured out.
