I grew up in medical family, I trained in US Air Force as an Emergency Medical Tech, became a CNA with nursing career path. I have worked in acute hospitals and have also provided nursing care and maintained private duty nursing and psych patients for over 10 years successfully. What i like the most about caregiving is the ability to treat those as I would want myself to be treated in time of need. I find that with compassion, good listening skills and trying to understand and empathize with my clients not only does my client feel loved but learn that they can work towards a goal, increase their independance or have one that will help meet my clients needs . I find it extremely rewarding personally and always find new friends and family along this path.

I have been a senior caregiver for 32 yrs, my services are cooking meals, house cleaning, errands, DR. Appts, daily activities, assisting with bathing/shower, assisting with getting dressed, what ever I can do to make life easier for the person who may need a little help with things that are difficult to do now. I don't find personal hygiene and tasks of a more uncomfortable description as daunting. I love a challenge and don't mind cleaning and organizing. I am accustomed to giving medications, scheduling appointments and relaying information confidentially to family members that are concerned. I have been CPR certified and Medical Assistant certified up to this past year when I stopped working to move to Florida. I have a son with respiratory issues, so am familiar with inhaled medications, antibiotics and many medicines in the oncology and family practice field. I am also certified in yoga and have taught yoga for several years specializing in medical conditions like cancer, stiffness, balance and coordination issues.
