I'm currently have 3 National Medical Certifications. Getting ready to graduate with a bachelor degree in sociology. I'm headed to grad school after graduation. I love taking care of individuals with physical mental or emotional disorders. I have a heart of gold and enjoy sharing my skills to help individuals that can not take care of themselves.

I am a mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. I volunteer at Goodwill and Habitat in Chipley. I have been a caregiver for seniors starting in 2007-2023. I miss being able to help another family. I am available, any day or time. I have stayed with my seniors in their homes, hospital, and nursing home. I prepared meals, medicine, light housekeeping, went to Dr appointments with their family members, kept them company until their family members return from work.. bathing, anything needed. I'm dependable.. I've never missed any appointments with the seniors. I love being there with them, letting them tell me about their lives. I love watching tv with them and enjoying watching them laugh and smile. They become family to me. Being able to let them stay home, seems to keep them around longer. Not only am I helping them and their families, but it helps me, knowing I matter.

I've always wanted to be a nurse every since I was a little girl, I became a LPN which I enjoyed so I can say that was one of my personal achievements.

A little about myself, to begin, I am a hard-working and driven individual who isn't afraid to face a challenge. I'm passionate about my work and strive to get the job done. I describe myself as an open and honest person who doesn't believe in misleading other people and tries to be fair in all I do. I do my best to be ambitious and driven. I thrive on a challenge and constantly set goals for myself, so I have something to continue to work towards. I am not comfortable with settling, as I hold myself to high standards and I am always looking for an opportunity to do better and achieve greatness. Not perfection, but greatness. I have a friendly personality and enjoy getting to genuinely know others. I am genuine, and people describe me as authentic and honest. I am a hard worker and am always putting in the extra effort to achieve my goals. I am attracted to caregiving because I thrive in service for others. It's a joy and in my nature, to care for others. I love the phrase "do unto others as you would have done unto you". This is something I keep in my perspective and do my best to treat others with kindness. That in itself is a beautiful blessing to be a part of. A personal achievement I am proud of is starting a small business. Starting your own company can be a life changing event for anyone brave enough to give it a go. I opened my home years ago to become a child caregiver. This was a huge step in my life as I learned more about business, leadership, communication, training skills, etc. I hope to expand my caregiver skills in other areas and look forward to opportunities to do so.

Thank you for reading. I am 48 years old and had the privilege of caring for both of my parents in the final years of their lives. In addition, my in-laws are both very well and active at age 88. I do travel with them and provide help in their home as they live independently. I am very trustworthy and dependable. I also have a lot of respect for the elderly which attracts me to being a caregiver. I hope to make someone's life much easier with some assistance from myself. I spent many years after my father passed away from cancer as a hospice volunteer. In addition, I have done companion care for several seniors over the last 20 years. I am the mother of a 21 son who has worked very hard to become a professional actor. He is currently a Senior at Belmont University in Nashville. He's probably my greatest achievement in life! Truly a nice young man.

I'm a Mom of 6 in which all are adults now. I'm the baby grandchild & cared for most of my Aunts Uncles & my Parents when needed as they became unable to. I love being that person that can greet them with true compassion & an ear to listen when they need to be heard & understood Being able to care for a parent as they began to enter into a Child's character again & help them as they did you when you were a Child is the biggest gift I have received.
