I have had a passion for caring for seniors at a very young age. It all started with me caring for my neighbor Ms. Jackson when I was just 13 years old but she didn't have any children but she as always so kind to me. I've worked in a nursing home, have had some private duty cases and I've cared for adults with disabilities. My grandmother ran a group home for children with disabilities and I believe this is where my passion to care for others came from. I take pride in providing care for those who can't care for themselves anymore. I feel that just because you've gotten older and can't do for yourself as you once did, you should still be able to maintain your dignity and self respect. That is my goal as a provider to help each individual maintain as much independence as possible and to provide the best care needed. I've care for many people in my life time but the return on what I've gained is beyond words.

I am a compassionate loving woman who loves caring for others. I've recently ended my military career after serving for 7 years now I am ready to serve others. I am in nursing school and I have about 16 months left. I currently have my Nursing Assistant certification as well as my BLS certificate. My long term goal is to become a Registered Nurse at a hospital. While I am in nursing school, I would love the opportunity to work with families as a caregiver. Hello I'm Phantashia Shine, I'm a loving, outgoing, bubble personality, I love what I do and that's taking care of a family love one like my own, I've been a caregiver over 15 years and then got certified so that I am able to give the care that is needed not only the right way but the correct way by taking courses to keep up with my caregiver skills. As a caregiver I try to put myself and every situation as my own so that I can take the time to not only understand how the family member feels but also my patients, Sometimes it's not an easy task taking on someone new and not knowing the person, I try my best to understand everything and every situation. I became a caregiver when I was still going to school when I would visit the Elderly Home and assist the patient with bathing, feeding, take them for walks....then my dad took sick when I had to care for him. That's when I became a Caregiver.
