I began working as a caregiver st the age of 17. Actually much younger as I often would take care of my mom as she was bipolar and needed a lot of assistance. Caregiving and helping people as always come very natural to me and provides me with a lot of joy. Being able to help with people is always been a priority to me. I have worked in a variety of environments which I believe makes me versatile. I bring positivity into the lives of the clients I work with. My whole life I have always cared for some one. My first real caregiving job was at 16 and I loved it. It is a true blessing to help those that need a little extra care in life due to a illness, accident, or just the aging process. I enjoy cooking, art, gardening, and reading when I have time. I'm from Oahu and moved to Maui 1990. Then got some mainland experience before coming back home to Maui.

I was also in the RN program in Florida. I completed 2 semesters but dropped out to become a massage therapist. I also worked as a Phlebotomist for 3 years. As an Acupuncturist I treated many different problems with adults and children. I took care of my mom who had dementia for many years until she went into a nursing home. I also took care of my brother who had dementia for a couple of years until he went into a nursing home. I lived on Oahu from 1978-1989. I moved back to Florida where I grew up and just moved to Maui 3 weeks ago. My personality traits are kindness, compassion, patience, listening and love for all people, these are traits I extend to everyone I meet. Since I was a young girl I have always wanted to help people. As I got older I began to help friends, family, co-workers. Sometimes it was just to listen to them and give support. What I have enjoyed most is how it makes me feel to be a caregiver. It always feels better to give! The people always teach me especially how to be a better person. I also enjoy making peoples lives better. I am proud of myself for being a mother, daughter, sister, friend, for the schooling I have had, for being healthy and happy, for doing what's right, for being a hard worker, for seeing the good in people, for making a difference in people's lives, for being in awe of life!

Hi (Aloha) , My name is Temehani and I specialize in helping our seniors being a caregiver. I've been doing caregiving for over 15yrs. I aided my grandmother since I was 15 & most of my family memebers. Taking care of people who are disabled or senior care comes naturally to me . It such a pleasure for to give back & help our senior community , I treat them as they were family . It's my way of giving back to be there for them . Some clients end up being just like your family! I enjoy what I do & the fulfillment it gives me knowing that I could be of service to help someone in need . Being a caregiver helped me grow in so many ways , & to put others before yourself. I believe what comes around goes around when you give good energy towards one another, that It always comes back !! :)

I am a friendly, energetic, person that loves working with people especially in the medical/caregiving field. I am very empathetic, and have a huge amount of patience, which I think are so key in dealing with the sick, the elderly and the young. I have been interested and involved in the medical/caregiver field all my life even taking care of my Alzheimer grandfather when I was just 10. ( I was the only one in the family with the patience and aptitude!) I think this is ultimately what drew me to the field is my love and compassion for the hurt, the young, and the elderly. I truly love being a caregiver, medical personnel and it shows in the care I give my patients. I have a high standard for myself and strive to treat my patients as well as I would my family, in fact I have considered many of my patients as my family and have kept in contact with them after care, or with family members after the patient passes. I have taken care of some very extreme patients ie; quads in wheelchairs and on ventilators, I am comfortable with all levels of care for my patients from the low level needs, to high intensive needs and have a vast knowledge to work with all of these types of patients.

Aloha! If you're looking for a fun loving, big hearted personality type, look no further! I look forward to the friendships we can create while caring for you and your loved ones. I love meeting new people and would love the the opportunity to meet you! My mother had aggressive breast cancer in 2019 and after undergoing intensive surgery to remove it, was cleared to come home where I was able to be a big part of her at home recovery. Illness and pain can be a huge mood dampener so I come with a plethora of fun jokes to keep spirits light. Feel free to message me and see how I can be of service, I look forward to meeting you!
